I was messing with the pulleys today and I noticed how little the contact the crank pulley has with the belt. What do you guys think Admin's Note:
Im a little worried its not enough and it might try to slip.

what the heck were you reading Admin's Note:
I was asking if the crank pulley has enough contact with the belt. Not if im going to need a new belt.

Admin's Note:
I was asking if the crank pulley has enough contact with the belt. Not if im going to need a new belt.
Sorry bud. I know now I must have answered stating the obvious. I thought I responded as best I could based on what I was reading in your typed message...(see below) I was messing with the pulleys today and I noticed how little the contact the crank pulley has with the belt. What do you guys think
Admin's Note:
Im a little worried its not enough and it might try to slip.
Question: How are we to determine if the belt has enough contact with the pulley based on your interpretation that it does not
Admin's Note:
Maybe a photo would help.

Got to work on it a bit today. I was able to install the new valve springs and pushrods. Then I went ahead and cleaned it up some more and touched it up with a bit of paint. Also got the adaptor plates installed and the motor mounts as well. I took some pics but I dont have my laptop so I cant post any right now. I just figured I would post a lil update sincee its been a while.

I hope so...^^^ I got the water pump, alt., coils, radiator, and fan installed today. I used the LS1 radiator and the third gen fan and shroud. I know, I shouldve bought LS fans but the wiring is already there for the third gen one and I didnt have to spend any extra money on it. Maybe later Ill swap them out along with the air filter assembly. I think it looks kinda cool because it sits flush with the core support. I made a couple of brackets to hold it in place. Take a look.... quick mock up of air filter set up....
