hope its ready soon! cant wait to see how the fit and fan setup! If I dont get rid of My TA, I might go this route. ;D after number crunching, dropping 10 grand on a kit for a 10+ year car does not look like smart decision... wow... I'm getting either old. or penny pinching LOL SVG (budget) modification: I recommend NITROUS in your case. $10k - $1,000 for a real nice nitrous kit + fuel system upgrades leaves you with $9k of refills or @ $50avg./10lb bottle refill = 180 refills. As often as you drive your car and are in situations where using nitrous is deemed legit I would say it would take you approximately 8 years to spend the same amount of money. Moderator Matt (Black2002RamAir) has used nitrous for years...Think about it!

I have 4600 into the turbo kit. Fuel system will cost me 1k. I have to change gears because of the 4.30s and will need a tune. Probably another 1k. I think when it is all said and done, I will have close to 8k in this setup. Not cheap, but will put down as much power as I will need for a bit anytime I press the "go" pedal.

No more than 10 pounds. Not going to.push this setup to hard. When I can get my car fund back up I will build a motor and turn the boost up. Ultimate goal is 850 rwhp one day

As always I am misunderstood LOL I used to be a linguistic genius but then I gone get stabbed in the head and it all went down hill after that. :LOL but seriously I did get stabbed. Anyhow Al, I meant Dumping 10 grand for a kit. The Modular turbo twin turbo kit is 9995. its pretty much everything but a fuel system. and It all fits like a glove, you keep the AC. and No hacking and dicing required. But sometimes I'm just in limbo (wow I used a religious term LOL) on whether or not I should heavily mod the car. I havent even fixed my balancer yet

Thinking beyond the hassle of trailer, truck, time, gas, more gas...See if he can send you a mail order tune to drive it to him for the final dyno tune. Probably only charge you like $100 more if you offer up front payment for a scheduled date/time dyno tune. Just an idea...

I plan on calling Patrick g sometime this week. I have the trailer and truck so we will see. All I know is pt76 billet. That would be cool if ye could mail order me a tune. I will check. If u look at my Facebook there are some pictures of current progress. I changed wastegate springs last night to 4.5 lb. Figured this would be a good place to start the tuning. I hope to have it out in February so we will see

I was at the STET yard in hondo tx today, and had a talk with one of the rail managers long story short, they are probably going to start selling strait ethanol (E100) next summer so if any stations pick it up they might sell it locally. They are also trying to lower the minimum purchase to 200 gallons. Or lower.

Found some more helpful info. Just passing it along...
"The E85 will clean the tank and fuel lines from old "crap" i recommend that you change your fuel filter when the fuel tank goes empty. Buy two because you really want to change it after a couple of tanks again. Better safe than sorry. E85 acts as an injector cleaner which is really nice, This means that your injectors are always in perfect "shape"."

Thought u had to have a fuel system designed to run E85. Have read it will eat through rubber and plastics not designed for that fuel.

No need he is more than likely going to run a meth kit on it now due to the face that e85 is going to be harder and harder to fine.

Thought u had to have a fuel system designed to run E85. Have read it will eat through rubber and plastics not designed for that fuel. You do have to update your stock parts combination (i.e. larger injectors/upgraded pump) to flow approximately 30% more fuel vs. gasoline at the same power level but with a trade off in a lower -$price/gallon coupled with E85's detonation protection + 10-12% power increase makes it a win-win situation. As long as availability of E85 fuel source is readily available for refueling that is. If you have an OLD vehicle (way before the LS) with rubber gaskets, seals, and fuel lines then yes you may have to make some drastic changes in delivery from pump to engine. LS aftermarket pump kits and most stock pumps have a plastic in tank fuel line which isn't affected by E85. The have been designing OBII vehicles for years to be compliant for running even up to 20% ethanol for years now. Considering most late model vehicles are now flex fuel capable consider them to have a (1) up on our LS vehicles as you can swap multiple fuel types back and forth (okay not diesel! Lol) at will without issue. Hell it doesn't even hurt 02 sensor or even catalytic converters! E85 is AMAZING but not for everyone as there is some initial cost barriers you need to consider prior to taking on a build...additional parts + tuning = xxHP, xxTQ gain
